Zurich online Summer School programme Innovative Approaches to Inclusive Education – global vision and local solutions!
- Dates: 2 weeks from 21 June to 2 July 2021 (cf. information sheet enclosed).
- Summary course outline: This summer school course offers innovative approaches to inclusive education with a focus on teaching of vulnerable children and young persons (age 4 to 15 years), e.g. street children, refugees, children with special needs. Participants will not only have access to academic knowledge and expertise offered by the PH Zurich and other stakeholders in the international context but also to partners in international organisations such as UNICEF and UNESCO as well as partners “working on the ground” (e.g. pilot schools, local NGOs). The PH Zurich online summer school is open to students and professionals. The participation of professionals working in the field offers additional insights and discussions.
- Language: The course will be held in English (language requirement: level B2 according to the European CEFR)
- Programme fee: There is a reduced programme fee for students nominated by PH Zurich partner universities. Places are limited.

The University of Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic!
would like to invite students to Summer Schools 2020 organized by Faculty of Science, University of Hradec Kralove. Courses will be held between 22nd July and 22nd August 2020.
There is no tuition fee for the Summer schools and students will be supported by dormitory accommodation free of charge.
The students may choose out of Biological, Mathematical, Sensoric and Toxicological Summer School. Students will be introduced to basics of Czech language/culture and the guided trips will be organized for them.

41st International Summer School in Irish Studies in Cork (Ireland)
This year, the summer school will start on Monday 29th June and finish on Friday 24th July 2020. The application deadline is Friday 1st May and attached you can find the Enrolment Form and the Brochure for EU applicants.
Each year our world-renowned Summer School attracts many US and European students with an interest in Irish studies, providing them with an ideal location in which to observe the varied aspects of Irish history, literature and culture.
For the duration of 4 weeks, students explore key turning-points in Ireland’s history that shaped its destiny and identity and examine how modern Irish writers of international significance sought to define a sense of cultural identity. These themes are approached in interactive lectures, seminars, and in a series of field trips, delivered by leading experts.
The Summer School aims to provide a unique learning experience by combining a rigorous introduction to major academic themes in the development of Irish identity with an opportunity to encounter Ireland’s rich cultural landscape through expert tuition, optional courses in Irish language and a lively social programme.

1. International Summer University (ISU)
Osnabrück Campus, 11 July – 31 July 2020
Courses on bachelor level: Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability, Cultural Management, Economics of Globalization, Global Marketing Management, Clinical Perspectives in Physiotherapy and Special Food Technologies
Course on postgraduate level: Global Healthcare Management
Students choose one course, which is then combined with classes on German language, Intercultural Competence, Facts about Germany and Osnabrück as well as study trips, company visits and cultural activities.
Students meet participants from a variety of countries and study in an intercultural environment. The subjects are taught by academics from Osnabrück and its international partner universities with plenty of professionial experience.
Upon successful participation students receive a certificate of attendance and 5 ECTS credit points. The program is taught in English.

2. Summer University Lingen (SUL)
Lingen Campus, 5 July – 18 July 2020
Subject on bachelor and postgraduate level: Global Players and Hidden Champions: Business and Technology made in Germany.
The Summer University Lingen (SUL) takes a look at the backbone of Germany’s economy: family-owned medium-sized companies, the so-called German Mittelstand. The goal of the Summer University is to analyze the key success factors of the Mittelstand companies and to gain insight into their operations and management features. A unique feature of the SUL is the practical aspect: we will visit small and medium-sized as well as family-owned companies to directly apply what we have learned in class. Students will attend lectures on topics such as International Management, International Marketing and Features of small and medium-sized enterprises.
